Royal Caribbean Oasis Class
Royal Caribbean Cruises Oasis Class

Oasis Class

Experience the most incredible ships at sea. Oasis Class ships have a whole host of industry first innovations such as the spectacular AquaTheater and Central Park.

The largest class of cruise ships on the sea, the Oasis Class is made up of  the sister ships Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas. Both ships have a maximum capacity of a staggering 5,400 guests – but the Allure measures a few inches longer than her older sister, taking the crown of largest cruise ship in operation.

Launched in 2009 and 2010 respectively, the two Oasis Class ships have become central to the evolution of the growth industry – offering incredible choice of activities and amenities whilst on the seas. The sheer scale of the ships and cross-generation appeal epitomise the work of Royal Caribbean to make cruise holiday more inclusive than ever before.

The Oasis of the Seas currently cruises all-year-round the Eastern and Western Caribbean from its homeport of Port Everglades in Florida. Taking in the beautiful islands of the Bahamas, St Maarten, Jamaica and Haiti – the Oasis of the Seas specialises in the quintessential relaxing cruise itinerary visiting beaches and laidback paradises.

Similarly, the Allure of the Seas regularly visits the ports of Eastern and Western European, but also takes in Europe during the autumn and spring. The ship calls Florida and Barcelona home, depending on the time of year.

The ships in the Oasis Class have recently adopted the Dynamic Dining system, Royal Caribbean’s new flexible dining scheme which allows passengers to pick and choose from a wide variety of all-inclusive eateries. Guests can dine at American Icon Grill, The Grande and Silk at their leisure. The three ships also feature a range of speciality restaurants available at an additional cost.

The ships are split into seven neighbourhoods – giving the vessels an authentic floating-city feel. These distinctly different neighbourhoods are: Central Park, The Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea, Boardwalk, Royal Promenade, Youth Zone, and Entertainment Place – each offering different guest experiences.

Both the Oasis of the Seas and the Allure of the Seas have forged a really strong connection with younger cruise passengers with the inclusion of the DreamWorks Experience – allowing guests to interact with family favourites from DreamWorks films including Shrek and the Penguins of Madagascar.
