Description
Celebrity Constellation
Celebrity Constellation debuted in 2002. Even though the ship is massive at 91,000 tons with a passenger capacity of 1,950, it balances big ship fun with a more intimate cruising experience and boasts a passenger-to-crew ratio of two-to-one. A massive renovation in 2010 gave the ship new life. It now sails to the Southern Caribbean, Western Mediterranean, the Panama Canal, and Central America.
Celebrity Constellation Recreation
Celebrity cruises on the Constellation feature a variety of entertainment and recreation options for passengers of all ages and interests. For sports-lovers, the ship has a full gym with fitness equipment, group classes, and personal training; a full-sized, top-ship basketball and soccer court; jogging track; and resistance swimming pool. If relaxation is on the agenda, there are two swimming pools, four whirlpools, and saunas. The AquaSpa is 25,000-square-feet of dedicated spa and salon space offering traditional spa treatments as well as Botox and teeth whitening. The ship's 10 bars and lounges feature an extensive drink menu and live entertainment. Fortune's Casino is the place to go if you're feeling lucky. Nightly productions in the Celebrity Theatre feature live entertainers singing pop music and standards in a glitzy review. Passengers with refined tastes will love Words, the two-story library with books in a wide range of languages, as well as wine tastings. Sample wines from throughout the world in Cellar Masters lounge. Stay connected in the OnlineCelebrity Internet Cafe or with wireless Internet access throughout the ship. Shipmates' Fun Factory offers activities, movies, video games, a splash pool and ball pit for young passengers. Teens can hang out, play billiards, watch television, and play video games in the Tower. The Grand Foyer is the place to go for people watching and spectacular views in the ship's ocean-view elevators.
Celebrity Constellation Food
Celebrity cruises offer a wide variety of gourmet dining options for all tastes. The main dining room, the San Marco Restaurant, makes dining onboard the Constellation an unforgettable experience with live piano music, gourmet cuisine prepared with fresh ingredients, and breathtaking ocean views. Less formal dining is available at the Seaside Cafe, which offers a pasta bar, pizza, burgers, and even sushi. At the Bistro on Five you'll find sandwiches, salads, and other lighter fare. For health-conscious guests, the AquaSpa Cafe serves delicious and healthy foods. Snacks and coffee are available at the Gelateria and Cafe al Bacio. Make reservations at Ocean Liners Restaurant, a throwback to the ocean liners of the past, for decadent French cuisine. The ship's other specialty restaurant, the Tuscan Grille, offers steak and pasta with an Italian twist. For breakfast, snacks, and even meals delivered directly to your stateroom, room service is available 24 hours.
Celebrity Constellation Staterooms
As part of the ship's renovation, the cabins on the Constellation were upgraded to match amenities available on other Celebrity cruises. Sixty percent of staterooms now feature verandas with spectacular ocean views. All classes of cabins include convertible twin-to-queen beds, minibars with liquor and snacks, flat-screen televisions, plush robes, safes, and private bathrooms with showers and complementary toiletries. Celebrity cruises also offer a wide range of suites and luxury staterooms with additional amenities such as whirlpool tubs and butler service.

“We loved the Constellation”
Mrs Marilyn Critchley visited on 10/10 and recommended this ship.

Celebrity Constellation is a beautiful ship.I had only seen photos of it before the refurb but it was obviously all new. I particularly liked the soft furnishings, carpets and especially the upholstery, absolutely beautiful. Our first sight of the Constellation was very impressive when we arrived in Barcelona The outside of the ship was so clean that I really felt that the inside was going to be lovely and we were not disappointed. The formalities were quickly dealt with and we were soon sipping champagne as we came on board. The smiling faces and helpful service were there from beginning to end. We liked our cabin on deck 2. We had an ocean view as with a busy Mediterranean itinerary we didn't think it was worth the extra for a balcony although they looked nice. The public areas were not crowded and you could always find a seat on deck or in one of the lounges. Our experience of the entertainment on board was surprisingly good and we were very impressed. I think it would depend on who the guest artists are but we were lucky to have a wonderful concert pianist - Brooks Aerhon- and a west end singer - Lindsey Hamilton. They were outstanding but the other entertainers, singers and dancers were all fine and it was nice to relax after dinner. We used the main dining room every night although we heard good reports about the speciality restaurants. Our dining companions were lovely and we had very enjoyable evenings with them. The food was excellent with lots of choice and the service could not have been better. We went on cruise critic before we went and arranged to do some tours with Romeinlimo. I would certainly recommend doing this. We were satisfied with cruise 1st and the way our booking was dealt with but they arranged transfers from airport to the port via A 2 B and they were absolutely horrendous. DO NOT USE THEM.
I would definitely recommend Celebrity and the Constellation and the itinerary we went on which was Western Mediterranean,ie Barcelona, Villefranche for Nice or Monte Carlo, Genoa, Livorno for Florence, Civitivechia for Rome, and Naples for Sorrento, Capri and Pompeii.
