Description

Epic is the perfect name for this gargantuan Norwegian Cruise Line vessel. Weighing in at a staggering 153,000 tonnes and stretching over 1,000 feet, Norwegian Epic holds more crew members than some of NCL’s other ships can hold passengers. 4,228 guests can climb aboard at any one time to experience Norwegian Epic’s fabulous Caribbean, Transatlantic and Mediterranean cruises.

Norwegian Epic – What to do

One thing is for certain, on a ship this big you will never run out of things to do. With all this space to play with, a NCL cruise experience will be like no other, with so many unique features it is difficult to keep track of them all. See dazzling acts at the Epic Theatre, relax with wonderful live music at Fat Cats Jazz and Blues Club, enjoy a night of laughter at Headliners Comedy Club, experience the only Ice Bar to be found at sea in the Scandinavian-inspired Svedka Ice Bar, go wild at Spice H20, Norwegian Epic’s very own two-level adults only beach club. The possibilities on board this ship really are endless. Up on deck, Norwegian Epic boasts NCL’s most impressive sports complex, complete with full-size basketball court, batting cage, 24 foot climbing cage and challenging rock climbing wall. If you are not in the mood for climbing, simply relax poolside at Waves Bar.

In the evenings, you can head for cocktails and dancing at Bliss Ultra Lounge, sample some fine Irish, Scottish and Canadian whiskies in Maltings Whiskey Bar, light up at Humidor Cigar Lounge, or most amazingly of all, head over to the Spiegel Tent for Norwegian Epic’s Cirque Dreams and Dinner event.

Norwegian Epic – Where to eat

There are some areas of Norwegian Epic that are reserved for guests staying in Suite and Villa accommodation. This includes the Epic Club and Courtyard Grill, beautifully decorated with food to match. Elsewhere, choose your own portion of meat at Moderno Churrascaria, have a steak at Cagney’s Steakhouse, go French or Italian at Le Bistro or La Cucina, head for the Norwegian Epic Noodle Bar or simply have a pizza delivered to your room by the staff at Pizza 24/7.

Other options include the Wasabi Sushi Bar, the unbelievable ocean views found at The Manhattan Room, the interesting modern creations served up by Taste or the friendly atmosphere at O’Sheehan’s Bar and Grill, where you can also access a three-lane bowling alley.

The Staterooms of Norwegian Epic

When it comes to the rooms, the best of the bunch are undoubtedly the Deluxe Owner’s Suites, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, king-size bed, separate living room and dining areas and a private terrace. The Family Villas can accommodate up to six people and offer much the same features. The spacious Penthouses also offer extremely high levels of comfort, while the ultimate spa break can be had with a Spa Suite, and all the perks that this entails, including a special round bed and access to saunas, hydrotherapy pools, steam rooms and more.

The Deluxe Balcony and Standard Balcony Staterooms are sumptuously decorated and offer marvellous views of the ocean. The standard Inside Stateroom offers comfort at an affordable price, and the exclusive Studio apartments are ideal for the solo traveller as you set off on your Epic journey.
