Description
From short city breaks to epic world voyages, P&O gives you the opportunity to take some time for yourself on board Arcadia, a ship exclusively for adults. With its signature glass-fronted lifts offering unparalleled views of the surrounding ocean, no matter which destination you choose you can sure of an amazing experience.
Arcadia – What to do
As a kid-free zone, a trip with Arcadia is all about relaxation and doing what you want to, all of the time. P&O cruise line recognises this, and its bars and entertainment reflect this. Take a soothing dip in one of Arcadia’s two pools, one of which is covered by a magnificent glass dome, or treat yourself to a session in the Oasis Spa. An ascent to the Sky Deck will reward you with an impressive sports court, as well as a refreshing drink at the beautiful Orchid Bar. For a spot of culture, take your seat in the ornate Palladium Theatre, or settle down for some live music or comedy at The Globe.
Love films, but not a fan of the crowds? If so, then The Screening Room cinema is for you, seating just thirty people and providing an intimate setting to take in the latest films. For something altogether more intense, try your luck at the Monte Carlo Club Casino and see how much you can come away with. Spend your winnings enjoying an evening drink in the Crow’s Nest, offering fabulous views from one of Arcadia’s highest points. Other potential watering holes can be found at the traditional English pub The Rising Sun, the classy cocktails on offer at the Piano Bar and the smart yachting-themed décor of the Spinnaker Bar.
Arcadia – Where to eat
On any P&O cruise, how, what and when you eat is entirely up to you, and Arcadia is no exception. Whether it is coffee and a snack at Caffe Vivo or the luxury of choice on the menu at the informal, twenty-four hour Belvedere Food Court, Arcadia will always have the perfect solution to satisfy your hunger.
The most exclusive offering on board is to be found at Arcadian Rhodes, where you can choose from the creative fine dining menu concocted by British celebrity chef Gary Rhodes. A dramatic mealtime setting can be enjoyed at the two-tiered Meridian restaurant, while on the fabulous Sky Deck, the Orchid Restaurant showcases the very best in Oriental flavours. Of course, if you would rather spend the evening in the comfort of your room, there is always the option of having your dinner brought to you by Arcadia’s attentive twenty-four hour room service.
The Staterooms of Arcadia
No matter what style of accommodation you ultimately settle on for your Arcadia holiday, one thing you can be sure of is the prospect of a luxurious king-size bed waiting for you at the end of a long and fun-filled day. All of Arcadia’s staterooms are a great place in which to relax and unwind, with each room boasting a television, radio, air conditioning, refrigerator and enough storage room to ensure you make the best use of your space and do not have to squash all your belongings in.
Arcadia’s Inside Staterooms are large and luxurious enough to rival the grandest of hotel rooms, with the comfortable bed supplemented by superb bathroom facilities complete with both shower and bath. Outside Staterooms have the added bonus of a window view, while Deluxe Balcony Staterooms offer a private terrace area to enjoy. The Mini-Suite and Suite accommodation gives you something extra special, with a whirlpool bath complemented by a fluffy bathrobe and slippers, as well as a fruit basket, flowers, champagne and chocolates on arrival, all you need to start your perfect ocean voyage.
