Sapphire Princess Recreation

Whether you want to stay busy around the clock or spend your cruise holiday doing nothing at all, Princess cruises provide the perfect amount of recreation. The full fitness center features 35 cardio machines, 17 weight training stations, 12 stationary bicycles and a jogging track. If you'd rather break a sweat playing sports, there's a sports court for ping-pong, tennis and basketball as well as a mini golf course for more laid back sporting. The full service salon and spa is the perfect place to unwind with some pampering. The ship's five pools include a splash pool for kids and an adults-only fitness pool for swimming laps. There are four hot tubs. The Internet Cafe onboard the Sapphire Princess is one of the most modern in the Princess cruise fleet with 29 computer stations and special laptop tables for wireless users. The onboard enrichment program, ScholarShip@Sea, features computer classes, ceramics, photography seminars, and educational lectures on a variety of topics. Live shows are featured every night in the Princess Theater, and the ship's many bars and lounges host live music, comedians, and nightclub acts. Club Fusion is a modern, hip lounge with 42 high-def televisions, and the Skywalkers Nightclub is the place to for enlightening conversation and breathtaking panoramic views. Youth facilities include a video arcade and teen center.

Sapphire Princess Food

Dining on Princess cruises is always a special event, and Sapphire Princess offers more options than even the Princess megaships. For fixed traditional dining, passengers may choose the International Dining Room. International themes add a fun twist to the ship's Anytime dining rooms for passengers who don't wish to adhere to a fixed seating schedule. The Pacific Moon is Asian-themed, Savoy offers a steakhouse feel, Santa Fe is Tex-Mex, and the Vivaldi is Italian. Open seating is available for breakfast and lunch in the International Dining Room. Casual options include a 24-hour buffet in the Horizon Court, Prego Pizzeria, Trident Grill for poolside burgers and hotdogs, a wine bar, patisserie, and ice cream bar. Afternoon tea is served each day in the dining room. A small assortment of snacks and sandwiches are available through 24-hour room service. Sapphire Princess features two of Princess's most popular for-fee specialty restaurants: Sabatini's Italian Restaurant and Sterling Steakhouse. For a romantic in-cabin meal, Ultimate Balcony Dining is available for a fee for breakfast or dinner.

Sapphire Princess Staterooms

There's no need to splurge on a room with a view on a Princess cruise; ocean views and balconies are affordable on Sapphire Princess. More than 70 percent of the ship's 1,337 cabins feature ocean views and 78 percent of those rooms have private balconies. That's a total of 748 balconies onboard. Standard, oceanview, and balcony rooms offer the same basic amenities, including bathroom with shower, closet, two twin beds that convert to a queen, small table with seating for room service, mini fridge, safe, desk/vanity, and television with a variety of programming. If you choose to splurge on a mini-suite, your room will feature a separate seating area with sofa bed, two televisions, and a balcony. Suites are the most luxurious with spacious interiors, whirlpool tubs, wet bars, dining areas, and in some cases, personal computer.
