Launched in 2000, Royal Caribbean Cruise's Explorer of the Seas is dedicated to family fun and athletic recreation. At 138,000 tons and 1020 feet, the ship accommodates 3,114 passengers, but its innovative design and brilliant use of space ensure that the ship never feels crowded, even at top capacity. Explorer of the Seas sails to Bermuda, Canada, New England in the United States, and the Caribbean.

You’ll never run out of activities aboard Explorer of the Seas. With 15,000 square feet of fitness and spa space, Explorer of the Seas will keep you on your feet even during days at sea. State-of-the-art fitness facilities provide a panoramic ocean view so you won’t miss the sights even when you’re working out. Pamper yourself with onboard spa and salon services in the day spa.
The 60’ x 40’ ice skating rink also serves as a concert venue and TV studio. Challenge yourself with onboard rock-climbing on the impressive rock-climbing wall 200 feet above the sea. A full-sized basketball court, in-line skating rink, 9-hole miniature golf course, and golf simulators provide plenty of options for active passengers. For younger passengers, the Adventure Ocean programs provide age-appropriate activities every day. Kids will also enjoy the ship’s playroom, splash pools, video arcade, and teen nightclub.
The Royal Promenade is massive and ornately adorned. Hopping 24 hours a day, the Royal Promenade offers shopping, cafes, parades, and shows. Enjoy Broadway-style shows, ice skating shows, comedy, and musical performances onboard. You can even get married in Explorer of the Seas’ onboard wedding chapel. For after hours fun, adults will enjoy Casino Royale or the ship’s many bars and lounges.

As with all of the ships in Royal Caribbean's fleet, you will have plenty of options when it comes to dining. The ship’s massive three-level formal dining room provides a regal setting for seating dinners onboard. Serving gourmet meals, the formal dining room is perfect for romantic tables for two or entire families. The Windjammer Café offers dining on the run with buffet-style meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For an extra special dining experience, Johnny Rockets restaurant onboard offers 50s-style casual family dining. Portofino Italian Restaurant provides a more refined experience at an additional charge. Snacks and sandwiches are available through the ship’s 24-hour room service.
