The largest cruise ship on the seas at the time of its launch, Freedom of the Seas is 160,000 tons, 1,112 feet, and holds 3,634 passengers at double capacity. Offering some of Royal Caribbean’s greatest innovations for family fun, Freedom of the Seas provides a truly unforgettable experience for passengers of all ages. Freedom of the Seas Recreation
The fun never stops aboard Freedom of the Seas. Hit the Royal Promenade for shopping, people watching, an afternoon snack, or the frequent parades and shows. Join a Chefmakers Cooking Academy to meet other passengers and hone your culinary skills. For active passengers, the ship offers a full fitness center with floor-to-ceiling windows, jogging track, and group classes. More adventurous passengers will love the rock-climbing wall, ice-skating rink, dedicated sports pool, sports court, and miniature golf course. The FlowRider surfing simulator provides a unique onboard experience, and passengers can even sign up for one-on-one instruction.
Freedom of the Seas is one of the most family-friendly ships in the Royal Caribbean Cruises fleet. At the H20 Zone waterpark, kids have their own pool and a number of other fun water activities. Adventure Ocean youth programs provide age-specific fun for kids of all ages. The relaxing Solarium boasts cantilevered whirlpools and hammocks that simulate dangling over the edge of the ship above the ocean. There’s even a full regulation-sized boxing ring. Shows include Broadway-style reviews, ice shows, comedy acts, magicians, and live music. The nightlife is hopping with Casino Royale, bars, and lounges.

In addition to formal dinner seating, Freedom of the Seas offers delicious buffet-style meals at the Windjammer Café for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The specialty food options onboard are extensive, including a Johnny Rockets restaurant, Portofino Italian Restaurant, Chops Grille steak house, Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, and Sorrento’s pizza. Relax and have snacks delivered directly to your stateroom with 24-hour room service.
Freedom of the Seas Staterooms
Freedom of the Seas is a truly modern cruise ship, and this is most evident in the ship’s comfortable, luxurious staterooms. In addition to a private toilet and shower, each room also includes a full-sized flatscreen television with standard and interactive programming. The ship’s 1,817 staterooms includes interior rooms at value pricing, exterior rooms with a magnificent ocean view, private balconies, luxury suites, and premiere family accommodations. Family rooms sleep up to six people comfortably. The remarkable Presidential suite is unique to this Royal Caribbean ship, and comfortably accommodates up to 14 passengers in four rooms with four separate bathrooms and a hot tub.
