Since the concept was first envisaged in 2009, Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas has been surrounded by a cloud of excitement! The next generation ‘smartship’ pushes the boundaries of contemporary cruising and takes the idea of at-sea technology to a whole new level. On November 14 the 1,139 foot megaliner finally took to the waters in an official naming and christening ceremony held at New Jersey’s Cape Liberty Port.
