Quantum of the Seas Takes in New York [Video]

Royal Caribbean have continued their celebration of the maiden voyage of Quantum of the Seas, releasing this video of the vessel sailing past New York’s iconic skyline. The footage has been filmed from a helicopter as the Quantum Class ship navigates the waters surround the Big Apple.

Quantum of the Seas has recently made the state of New York her home, docking at Cape Liberty in New Jersey. The stunning footage allows us to get up close and personal with the stunning liner –considered to be the smartest cruise ship in operation.

Alongside the footage of the ship exploring the waters around New York, the camera crew also make their way inside of the ship, showing off some of the stellar features. The Bionic Bar is featured in the footage, showing off the robotic bartenders’ precise cocktail mixing skills.

The Quantum is set to spend her first season sailing out of New Jersey before relocating to China in 2015. Royal Caribbean will be hoping that the ship can make the most of the blossoming Chinese cruise market.

In 2015, Quantum of the Seas will be joined by her little sister, Anthem of the Seas and the rumour mill is already heating up about the prospect of additional Quantum Class ships in the design process.
