Azamara’s famous Destination Immersion® policy extends to its culinary offerings, so even while you're at sea you can relish the alluring colours, aromas and flavours of your next destination. Meanwhile, those cruisers following a vegetarian or vegan diet won’t struggle to pick from the plant-based menus available at several of the ship’s eateries.

ENTERTAINMENT

Whether you're travelling aboard the Azamara Journey or the Azamara Quest, you can take advantage of the excellent entertainment on board. Settle in for one of the broadway-style shows in the evening and enjoy a sensory extravaganza complete with colourful costumes and toe-tapping hits. Guest performers provide thrills in the form of comedy, magic or local dance troupes, while those looking for a more sedate end to their day can relax with a beverage while enjoying the soothing sounds of a live pianist in the ship's bar.

THINGS TO DO

Keeping busy while at sea is easy with the Azamara cruise line. All ships offer a wide variety of amenities and activities, from enrichment programmes and lectures to bingo and darts tournaments - the fun never ends. Shop for the latest fashions, fine jewellery or elegant accessories in the ship's boutique shops, or keep up with your fitness regime in the state-of-the-art fitness centre. If you'd rather spend your free time basking in some total R&R, the Sanctum Spa offers everything from massages to acupuncture.

FAMILY

While Azamara does offer basic children's facilities such as cots, highchairs and seat boosters, it is not a cruise line specifically aimed at families. While kids of all ages are of course welcome, it's worth noting that the ships do not have facilities like kids' clubs and activities, babysitting services, or children's menus.

• Is Azamara a luxury cruise line?

Azamara is classed as a luxury cruise line. The smaller-sized ships are akin to boutique hotels and offer elegant spaces and fine finishes but without a stuffy or overly formal atmosphere.

• Are drinks included on Azamara cruises?

All Azamara cruises include some spirits, international beers and wines as standard. Bottled water, soft drinks, speciality coffees and teas are also offered free of charge to all guests.

• How many ships does Azamara have?

Azamara has four ships: Azamara Journey, Azamara Pursuit, Azamara Quest and Azamara Onward. They are all smaller-sized ships, so they’re able to dock in hard-to-reach cities and towns.

• How many passengers do Azamara ships hold?

The Azamara cruise line ships are smaller and offer a more traditional cruising experience. The Azamara fleet only holds from 684 up to 704 passengers, so it's never crowdy aboard and you can be sure you'll have the best cruise experience small cruise ships can offer.

• Does Azamara include shore excursions?

Each Azamara cruise lasting seven days or longer includes a complimentary AzAmazing Evening. Other shore excursions, including walking tours and food tastings, are available at an extra charge.

• Where does Azamara dock in Venice?

In Venice, Azamara ships dock at the San Basilio cruise terminal, just 25 minutes from the city centre.
