Norwegian Jewel Class
Constructed at the world-renowned Meyer Werft Shipyard, Norwegian Jewel is the lead vessel of NCL's Jewel Class ships and a triumph of German engineering. Setting sail in 2005, the ship rose to international prominence when it featured in an episode of The Apprentice and is a much-loved NCL favourite.
The Jewel Class comprises of four ships. Alongside the Norwegian Jewel, there’s the Norwegian Pearl, Norwegian Gem, and Norwegian Jade. These are the second-largest ships in NCL’s fleet and are perfect for those wanting a relaxed, informal holiday; wearing formal dress is unnecessary on these ships.
Relax and Rejuvenate
Daily life aboard a Jewel Class ship is a leisure affair. From poolside lounging and wine-tasting to bingo games and enriching seminars, relaxation and comfort is at the heart of all NCL cruises. For the ultimate pampering experience, passengers are invited to truly unwind at the spa and beauty salon, offering revitalising treatments from head to toe.
It’s not just the adults who get to kick back and relax. Like all NCL liners, facilities aboard the Jewel Class were designed with family fun in mind. As such, children can take a splash at the supervised Sapphire Kid's Pool, enjoy blockbuster films and educational workshops at Splashdown Kid's Club and socialise at the exciting video arcade. The Entourage Club is exclusive to teens, providing a designated and safe area to hang out and make friends through pulse-racing gaming tournaments, disco nights, socials and film screenings.
Lively entertainment after dusk
Once the sun has set, each deck comes alive with musical performances, karaoke and dancing galore! Live entertainment is second to none at the Stardust Theatre where a variety of performers line the stage each night, including aerialist and circus acts, comedians, magicians, and singers and dancers.
For those in pursuit of a quiet drink, there are dozens of bars on each deck offering an enticing range of beverages from champagne and martinis on deck 6 to Sake and global beers on decks 7 and 8.
