Çeşme is a coastal town in Turkey's western-most end, on a promontory on the tip of the peninsula. It is a popular holiday resort. The name "Çeşme" means "fountain" and possibly draws reference from the many Ottoman fountains scattered across the city.

Unique scenery awaits you on the Sorrentine Peninsula; hills interspersed with valleys and high mountains. A wonderful fragrance hangs around the island, from the orange, lemon and olive trees and vines that are planted around the region. On the Sorrentine Peninsula, you will find plenty of old towns with old monasteries and churches.
