Eyjafjörður is the longest fjord in Iceland and is located in the central north of the country. The fjord is long and narrow and measures 60 km from mouth to bottom. The village lies at the innermost point of the Skjolden Sognefjord and is home to 200 residents. The National Park, which is home to the impressive Breheimen, Harbardsbreen and Sporteggbreen glaciers, is located near the village and promises some astounding sights.
