Top of the Table
Wherever you are in Cape Town, you can usually see at least some part of Table Mountain. The flat-topped mountain stretches three miles across the southern side of the city and stands over 1,000 metres above sea level. Cable cars take tourists straight to the top, where they are greeted by spectacular views of the city, Table Bay and even Robben Island in the distance.
Table Bay is home to a number of great beaches, all of which can be visited on tours of the city. And the Two Oceans Aquarium, also in the bay, is complete with a glass walkway allowing visitors to venture beneath the sea. To really explore the sea, a tour to Walker Bay is a must. The nature reserve, located just south of Cape Town, is perfect for whale watching and relaxing in the sun. Alternatively, tours to Duiker Island – home to thousands of seals – provide experiences like no other.
