AmaMelodia launched in 2024 as one of the newest additions to the AmaWaterways fleet, built to carry just 64 guests in 32 cabins and crewed by 30 staff — a ratio that ensures attentive, personalised service throughout. She measures 68 metres in length, making her well suited to the rivers of South America, where she currently sails itineraries departing from Cartagena, Colombia and Barranquilla, Colombia.

All dining on AmaMelodia is included in your cruise fare, with two distinct venues giving guests genuine choice every evening.

The Main Restaurant is the culinary heart of the ship — an elegant, relaxed space with open seating times and river views, where the kitchen focuses on regional cuisine that reflects the destinations you are passing through. Informal and sociable, it invites easy conversation with fellow guests.

For something more theatrical, The Chef’s Table is a dedicated intimate venue where a chef crafts a multi-course tasting menu in front of you. It is a refined, personalised experience and, like the Main Restaurant, is included in your fare with no extra charge.

Between meals, the Specialty Coffee & Tea Station offers complimentary self-service speciality coffees and teas throughout the day — ideal for an early morning start before a shore excursion or a quiet afternoon break.

On-Board Life and Facilities

Despite her intimate scale, AmaMelodia carries a well-rounded set of spaces for relaxation, socialising and staying active.

The Main Lounge is the social hub of the ship, with a fully stocked bar, evening entertainment and informative talks about the ports of call. Drinks and food in the lounge are charged separately unless you hold a beverage package.

On the Sun Deck, a Heated Sun-Deck Pool with an integrated swim-up bar gives guests a resort-style option in the open air — unobstructed views come as standard. A Walking Track circles the same deck for those who prefer a brisk circuit, while the Fitness Centre below offers modern cardio and strength-training equipment at no charge (specialist fitness classes carry a separate fee).

The Massage & Hair Salon provides a peaceful retreat for treatments and hairdressing — the space itself is open to all, and individual treatments are charged separately. A Library offers a quieter alternative: books, games and somewhere to sit away from the activity on deck. The on-board Gift Shop stocks essentials, souvenirs and regional keepsakes.

One facility that sets river cruising apart: the ship’s Complimentary Bicycle Fleet. Guests can borrow a bike at no cost and explore each port independently — a particularly rewarding way to discover the communities and landscapes along the Colombian rivers at your own pace, without joining an organised tour.

The Luxury Suite, at 28.4 m², is the largest cabin on the ship and includes a private balcony, sleeping two guests. If space and the best views on board matter most to you, this is the grade to consider.

The Balcony Cabin A measures 22.0 m² and is positioned on a lower, more stable deck — making it a practical choice for guests who prefer minimal movement whilst the ship is under way. It also sleeps two and includes a balcony.
