Avalon Tapestry II is a river cruise ship operated by Avalon Waterways, sailing the River Seine in France. She is a compact, intimate vessel designed for the rivers of Europe — easy to navigate, with a relaxed atmosphere suited to guests who want to focus on the destinations rather than the ship itself. Current sailings depart from Paris, exploring the Seine on itineraries of up to seven nights.
Avalon Tapestry II offers two cabin grades, both designed for two guests and finished to suit the intimacy of river cruising.
For a full breakdown of layouts and deck positions, see the Avalon Tapestry II cabins and deck plans page.
All current sailings take place along the Seine, one of Europe's most celebrated river routes, departing from Paris. Itineraries of up to seven nights wind through the French countryside, connecting the French capital with the Normandy coast. Because every sailing on our current programme departs from France, you will need to fly — meaning Avalon Tapestry II fits perfectly into a longer French holiday, and that is exactly how we book it: flights, hotel stays either side and transfers packaged together with the cruise.
As one of the UK's leading cruise specialists, Cruise1st has genuine knowledge of Avalon Waterways and the Seine itineraries — this is not a generalist travel agent adding river cruises to a long list. When you call, you speak to real cruise experts who can talk you through which cabin grade suits your travel style, which departure date works best and what to expect on the river.
Because every Avalon Tapestry II sailing in the current programme requires a flight to France, we treat the cruise as the centrepiece of a wider holiday. Through our Cruise1st Packages, we bring the flights, the hotel nights in Paris before or after your cruise, and the transfers into a single booking — so there is one point of contact and one invoice, not three.
If space and a private balcony matter to you, the Royal Suite S at 27.9 m² is the clear choice — it offers substantially more room than the Deluxe Outside Cabin and the added luxury of stepping outside directly from your room. If you prefer to keep the cost down and still enjoy natural light and river views, the Deluxe Outside Cabin D at 16.0 m² with its two windows is a very comfortable option. Both grades sleep two guests. The cabins and deck plans page shows exact deck positions.
Yes — all sailings currently on sale depart from Paris, France, so you will need to fly from the UK. Cruise1st can book your flights, any hotel nights in Paris and all transfers as part of a single Cruise1st Package, so the whole trip is arranged in one go.
Current sailings run for up to seven nights along the Seine, departing from Paris. The Seine is a relatively compact river route, so even the longer itineraries feel immersive rather than rushed — ideal for guests who want to spend meaningful time in each port rather than simply sail through.
Avalon Tapestry II is operated by Avalon Waterways, a river cruise line with a fleet sailing the rivers of Europe and beyond. Their Seine itineraries are among their most popular European programmes.
