Dining

Food is a big part of the story on Celebrity Solstice, and it’s designed to feel like a holiday highlight rather than a simple mealtime. Expect a mix of relaxed favourites and special-occasion venues, all delivered with Celebrity’s polished service style. AquaClass guests can look forward to Blu, while suite guests step into The Retreat experience with its own private dining and lounge access.

On sea days, it’s easy to keep things casual with buffet-style options for breakfast and lunch, then switch it up in the evening with a more formal main dining experience or a speciality restaurant when you fancy turning dinner into the night’s main event. If you enjoy pairing meals with the destination, Celebrity leans into globally inspired menus and a strong wine culture on board, so you can keep your evenings varied without having to over-plan.

Entertainment & Things to Do

Celebrity Solstice is built for guests who like their days to feel full, but never frantic. You can start with something gentle, perhaps a morning coffee and a stroll on deck, then dip into enrichment talks, tastings, live music sets, quizzes, and evening shows as the day unfolds.

One of the standout outdoor spaces is The Lawn Club, a real grass lawn at sea where you can play lawn games, listen to live music, or simply enjoy a slower moment with sea views.

When you want to properly unwind, The Spa is the place to book in for treatments and switch off, while fitness fans can keep routines going with the gym and classes.

Practical bonus for modern cruising: Celebrity Solstice sails with Starlink internet for faster connectivity, handy for sharing photos, checking in at home, or sorting plans for the next port.

Family

Celebrity Solstice tends to suit families who like a more grown-up pace, with a good balance of activities and downtime. Teens often enjoy the freedom of a ship that feels stylish and easy to navigate, while parents appreciate that evenings can be as relaxed or as lively as you want.

If you’re travelling as a multi-gen group, the ship’s mix of cabin categories makes it straightforward to stay close together while still giving everyone their own space. For families who value calm sea days, destination-led itineraries, and comfortable cabins over constant headline attractions, this ship can be a very smart fit.

Cabin Types

Your cabin is your reset button, and Celebrity Solstice offers a good spread of options depending on how you like to cruise.

  • Inside – Great value if you plan to be out and about most of the day, and prefer spending budget on dining upgrades or excursions.
  • Ocean View – Ideal for natural light lovers who want daytime views without stepping up to a balcony.
  • Veranda – A brilliant choice for scenic cruising, quiet morning coffees, and a breezy spot to wind down after dinner.
  • Concierge Class – A step up in service and perks, perfect if you like small touches that make the week feel smoother.
  • AquaClass – Spa-inspired cruising with access to Blu and wellness-focused extras for guests who like their holiday to feel restorative.
  • Suites and The Retreat – A premium experience with private spaces and dining, designed for guests who want the most elevated onboard feel.

Worth noting: Celebrity has announced new experiences debuting on the renewed Celebrity Solstice sailing from March 2026, so it’s a great time to keep this ship on your shortlist if you like refreshed spaces and updated onboard touches.

Ideal For

Celebrity Solstice is a strong match for couples, friends, and solo travellers who love good food, a stylish atmosphere, and a holiday rhythm that’s easy to personalise. It’s also a great option if you like sea days that feel genuinely restful, with enough entertainment and activities to keep things interesting without feeling like you must do everything.

If you’re comparing Celebrity Solstice reviews, you’ll often see praise for the blend of comfort and onboard atmosphere, along with the ship’s easy-going flow between dining, relaxing spaces, and evening entertainment.

Destinations

Celebrity Solstice sails a varied mix of itineraries, with popular regions including Alaska, Hawaii, and Asia. In simple terms, it’s the sort of ship you can book for a big, scenic adventure or a sunshine-and-sea-days escape, depending on the season.

If you’re planning celebrity solstice cruises for a milestone trip, it’s worth thinking about what you want most from your ports. For wild scenery and wildlife moments, Alaska is the classic. For slow-paced beach days and gentle sea breezes, Hawaii is a brilliant match. For culture and food, Asia itineraries can feel wonderfully varied across multiple port days.

Special Celebrity Solstice Offerings

What makes this celebrity solstice ship feel distinct is how it layers experiences for different travel styles. Wellness-focused guests can lean into AquaClass and spa time, food lovers can treat themselves to speciality dining nights, and anyone who enjoys open-air relaxation will love the simple pleasure of The Lawn Club.

For guests who like to cruise with everything feeling seamless, The Retreat adds a more exclusive, private feel to the trip, including a dedicated lounge and private restaurant dining.

Frequently Asked Questions about Celebrity Solstice

Expert thoughts about Celebrity Solstice

On Celebrity Solstice, I always recommend mid-ship cabins on Decks 6–8 for a smoother ride and easy access to the main venues. I also suggest booking the Lawn Club and sunset drinks early, as it’s one of the ship’s best spots and fills quickly.

Sail date: 3.2.2026

Advantages

Ship is looking really well after refurbishing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Have not been on a Celebrity cruise since before COVID and was delighted to see there was still a very lively ice bar . Food overall was excellent.

Weak Points

The assumption that as we’re in an aqua class cabin that we would want to dine in Blue every night. Sorry but we don’t cruise for healthy food. It was actually questioned why we didn’t want to dine in Blue and we experienced some initial problems getting a table in the main restaurant. It took a visit to the maitre d to resolve the issue. Once resolved we couldn’t fault the food or service. Found the specialty restaurants expensive for the quality of the food served. As experienced cruisers have had better speciality restaurants for less money on other cruise lines.
