- For cruises calling at Hawaii and departing on or after 1 January 2026, a tax of 14% (11% state TAT + 3% municipal surcharge) will be levied on the portion of the cruise price attributable to the time spent in Hawaiian ports. Purchases made on board are not affected. For existing bookings from 1 January to 30 April 2026, the tax will be charged to the on-board account. For existing bookings from 1 May 2026 onwards, the tax will be charged on the booking invoice and is payable with the final payment.
