The Princess drinks packages explained
Princess Cruises offer four beverage plans, each designed with different tastes in mind. Packages are charged per person, per day, must be purchased for the full duration of the cruise, and prices are listed in US dollars (as is standard onboard). Here’s how each package works:

From US $14.99 per person, per day (plus 18% service charge)

How and when to purchase your drinks package
You can add your chosen beverage package through the Cruise Personalizer before sailing, or purchase it onboard within the first couple of days. Packages cannot be shared between guests and must be purchased for the entire length of the cruise. All adults sharing the same stateroom typically need to choose the same package for consistency.

Are Princess drinks packages worth it for UK travellers?

Do Princess drinks packages include gratuities?
Yes. An 18% service charge is added automatically when you purchase the package. Once bought, there are no additional taxes or gratuities on individual drinks within the package’s pricing limits.
Can I use my drinks package on Princess’ private islands?
Yes. Drinks packages work seamlessly on Princess Cays and any Princess-operated private island venues, meaning your drinks are covered ashore as well as onboard.
Is there a limit to how many drinks I can order each day?
There is no strict daily “drink count”, but beverages must fall under the package’s price limit (US $15 for Plus, US $20 for Premier). Staff may refuse service if someone appears intoxicated, as part of responsible service policies.
Can one guest in a stateroom buy a drinks package and the other not?
Generally, Princess requires all adults in the same cabin to purchase the same package to prevent sharing. Exceptions may be made for guests who do not drink alcohol for medical or religious reasons, but this must be approved directly with Princess Cruises.
