AmaFiora entered service in 2025 as one of AmaWaterways' newest river ships, carrying up to 152 guests with a crew of 51 — a ratio that keeps service attentive throughout the voyage. Her 76 cabins and suites are spread across a 135-metre hull designed for Europe's inland waterways, and the sailings currently on sale run to up to 14 nights.
The majority of sailings depart from Amsterdam along the Rhine, with further itineraries leaving from Basel, Switzerland and Budapest, Hungary. The Ijssel, Danube and Benelux waterways round out the sailing programme.
AmaFiora offers two distinct dining venues, both included in the cruise fare and open to all guests. The Main Restaurant is the culinary heart of the ship: open seating times mean you dine when it suits you, with regional cuisine served alongside river views. For something more theatrical, The Chef's Table puts a dedicated chef at the centre of an intimate, multi-course tasting experience — culinary theatre with personalised attention, again at no extra charge.
Away from the table, a Specialty Coffee & Tea Station is available on a self-service basis throughout the day, with complimentary speciality coffees and teas included in your fare.
The Sun Deck is AmaFiora's open-air heart — an unobstructed upper deck where guests gather to watch the riverbanks pass, dine al fresco when conditions allow, and use the Walking Track for a morning jog. The Heated Sun-Deck Pool adds a resort dimension rarely found on a river ship: it comes with an integrated swim-up bar, so you can order a drink without leaving the water.
For quieter moments, the Library provides books and games in a relaxed setting, while the Main Lounge acts as the social centre of the ship — cocktails at the bar, port-of-call talks during the day, and live entertainment in the evenings. The Fitness Center is complimentary to use (specialist classes carry a charge), and the Massage & Hair Salon is on hand for treatments, which are booked and charged separately. A Gift Shop carries souvenirs and essentials.
One of AmaFiora's most practical touches is the Complimentary Bicycle Fleet: guests can take a bike ashore at ports of call and explore independently, without booking or paying for a guided excursion.
Full deck plans and cabin layouts are on the AmaFiora cabins and deck plans page. Three grades are available:
Prices for sailings currently on sale start from £2,426pp*. Because every departure involves a flight from the UK — all ports are in the Netherlands, Switzerland or Hungary — the grade you choose affects more than just the cabin: it affects how the whole trip sits around the sailing. Our specialists can help you weigh that up before you book.
As one of the UK's leading cruise specialists, Cruise1st has specialist knowledge of AmaWaterways that a general travel agent cannot match. Every AmaFiora sailing currently departs from overseas — Amsterdam, Basel or Budapest — which means the cruise is the middle of a longer trip: we book the flights, the hotel either side and the transfers, as one holiday through our Cruise1st Packages. If you want to talk it through first, real cruise experts are on the phone before you book.
If you're comparing options within the AmaWaterways fleet, the pages below cover other ships you may be choosing between: AmaMagna, Zambezi Queen, AmaVenita, AmaVerde, AmaLea and AmaDahlia.
AmaFiora was built in 2025, making her one of AmaWaterways' most recently launched river ships. Sailings on sale at Cruise1st depart from late September 2026 onwards.
The current sailing programme covers the Rhine, Ijssel, Danube and Benelux waterways. The Rhine accounts for the largest share of itineraries, with most departing from Amsterdam. Basel is the primary embarkation point for Rhine sailings starting from Switzerland, and Budapest serves the Danube itineraries.
Both the Main Restaurant and The Chef's Table are included in the cruise fare, as are the Specialty Coffee & Tea Station and non-alcoholic drinks at meals. The Main Lounge bar charges for drinks separately unless you have a beverage package; spa treatments and specialist fitness classes also carry their own charge.
If space is the priority, the Suite SS at 32.5 m² is the most generous option on board. Guests who want a balcony without going to suite level will find the Balcony Cabin AA — at 21.8 m² — a roomier choice than the mid-tier grades. The Outside Cabin D on the Piano Deck suits those who prefer the steadiest, quietest position on the ship. Our cruise experts can help you match the grade to your itinerary and budget — call before you book.
Every AmaFiora sailing currently on sale boards in the Netherlands, Switzerland or Hungary, so all UK guests will need to fly. Cruise1st Packages bundle the cruise with flights, hotel stays either side and transfers into a single booking — you do not need to piece the trip together yourself.
