Frequently Asked Questions about Norwegian Sky

Expert thoughts about Norwegian Sky

On Norwegian Sky, I always recommend choosing a mid-ship cabin on Decks 6–8, particularly on Caribbean and Mediterranean itineraries where sea conditions can vary between ports. I also suggest taking advantage of the ship's smaller size by dining later in the evening, when venues are quieter and service feels noticeably more personal than during peak dining times.

Advantages

The atmosphere was very nice, they catered for smokers & we met some wonderful people from all over the world, mostly Americans who were polite & friendly & big crowds of us & we all became like Ship family. It was kep clean. Staff were friendly & we enjoyed the excursions.

Weak Points

In the buffet bar (Garden Cafe) it was really nice but hardly a proper potato in sight at meal times, I saw mash only once but almost everyday it was just wedges baked with skins on or cubes cut with skins also left on again baked not fried (at breakfast time) neither way were not nice. On a few days they were cutting lovely joints of meat like Lamb, Pork etc I asked where the roast potatoes & one of the kitchen servers says 'here mam' too my place with my nice carved meat on it & he promptly put a load of awful wedges with skins on my plate, they certainly were not roast potatoes as we know them, so they did not cater much for the Brits. Also long queues at the egg counter, instead of putting large trays of fried eggs out you had to queue & wait for them to cook them, omelettes or poached I can understand waiting for but not fried eggs & the queues were just building.
