Princess Cruises has one of the strongest Caribbean programmes afloat, with sailings departing from Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Miami, San Juan, Port Canaveral and Barbados. Itineraries run from 4 nights up to 18 nights, with a typical sailing lasting around 10 nights — long enough to cover a good spread of islands without feeling rushed. The great majority are round trips, so your embarkation and disembarkation port are the same, making logistics straightforward. A small number are one-way sailings, so check the itinerary details before you book; if your cruise ends at a different port, our team can arrange your flight home at the same time.
The Caribbean is where Princess Cruises concentrates its programme, and the spread across the region means there’s a route to suit most tastes.
The core Caribbean itineraries draw on the full width of the region, taking in islands across the arc from the Florida ports southward through the island chain. Most depart from Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) — worth noting that Miami is about half an hour away and worth checking alongside Fort Lauderdale for dates and prices that suit you.
The Western Caribbean routes tend to take in larger, greener islands and well-known beach destinations, typically sailing from Florida ports. Good for those who want longer time ashore and bigger island experiences.
Sailing to the Eastern Caribbean often means smaller, more rugged islands and a different pace — and San Juan, Puerto Rico features as both an embarkation point and a port of call on several itineraries. Caribbean 2027 cruises that include a New York stay are also bookable for those who want to extend the trip.
The Southern Caribbean reaches further down the island chain, with Barbados acting as an embarkation point for some itineraries. If you’re thinking about a fortnight from Barbados, it’s worth looking at our dedicated pages for 14-day cruises from Barbados and 7-night cruises from Barbados for a closer look at what’s on offer.
Princess Cruises has been sailing the Caribbean for decades and the programme shows it — ships matched to routes, departure ports chosen for convenience, and a fleet that covers everything from a short break to a proper two-week expedition. The line’s MedallionClass technology, available across the fleet, lets you order food and drinks delivered anywhere on the ship via the OceanNow service, track your fellow travellers, and unlock your cabin door without hunting for a card. Movies Under the Stars — the outdoor cinema on deck, with complimentary popcorn and blankets — has become something of a Princess signature and is a genuinely different way to spend an evening at sea. Fare types vary too, with options such as standard, plus-tier and all-inclusive styles available on many sailings, so there’s a level of inclusions to match most budgets and preferences.
Prices start at £365 pp* and a good number of sailings carry a reduction from their previously listed price — up to 49% on a small number of departures, though most reduced sailings sit closer to 7% off. It pays to ask our team what’s currently marked down when you call.
Several ships from the Princess Cruises fleet operate Caribbean itineraries. Here’s what each one offers:
The newest ship in the Princess fleet, Sun Princess launched in February 2024 as the first vessel in the brand-new Sphere class and is able to run on LNG as well as conventional fuel. Its standout feature is The Dome — a multi-level, glass-enclosed deck inspired by Santorini terraces, with an indoor/outdoor pool that converts into an evening entertainment venue after dark. Across the ship there are 29 dining and bar venues, more than on any other Princess ship, including the three-storey Horizons Dining Room and the Piazza atrium with sea views. If you want the most modern Princess experience in the Caribbean, this is it. See the Sun Princess cabins and deck plans to find the right grade for your trip.
Star Princess joined the fleet in 2025 and is built to run on LNG as well as conventional fuel. It carries more than 1,500 balcony cabins — more than any other ship in the Princess fleet — and offers more than 29 different dining, bar and lounge venues on board. If a private outdoor space matters to you, this ship is hard to overlook. Browse the Star Princess cabins and deck plans to see your options.
Regal Princess is a Royal-class ship built for 4,250 guests across 19 decks, with the Princess Theater, Vista Lounge and a multi-level atrium at its heart. Dining ranges from the Salty Dog Gastropub and Crown Grill steakhouse to the International Café, which stays open around the clock. MedallionClass technology, Movies Under the Stars and The Sanctuary adults-only retreat round out the experience. The Regal Princess cabins and deck plans cover all grades in detail.
Refurbished in 2025 with fresh interiors, Emerald Princess offers 4 pools, 7 hot tubs and 13 flexible dining venues. The Movies Under the Stars deck is a highlight, and on the dining side you’ll find Salty Dog Gastropub, Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria and Sterling Steakhouse among the 13 venues, all with Anytime Dining. The Emerald Princess cabins and deck plans page has the full grade breakdown.
Crown Princess completed a comprehensive refit in 2025, with the Crown Grill and Sabatini’s dining venues refreshed, a new O’Malley’s Irish Pub added and Gatsby’s Casino redesigned. The ship has nearly 900 balconies and a three-storey atrium that gives it an unusually spacious feel. See the Crown Princess cabins and deck plans for details on balcony grades and sizes.
On Sky Princess, 81% of cabins have a private balcony — one of the highest ratios in the Princess fleet. The Sanctuary adults-only retreat offers private cabanas, spa treatments and light meals on a dedicated sun deck. Crown Grill, Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria, Chef’s Table Lumiere (with galley tour) and Movies Under the Stars are all on board. The Sky Princess cabins and deck plans lay out every balcony grade.
The Caribbean programme also features Caribbean Princess, Enchanted Princess, Island Princess and Coral Princess. Each has its own character and cabin mix — see the dedicated ship pages for full details, including Caribbean Princess cabins and deck plans and Enchanted Princess cabins and deck plans.
Princess Cruises offers a wide range of cabin grades across the fleet. Here’s a guide to the grades available on 3 of the ships above — running from the most affordable to the most spacious:

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) is the main hub for Princess Caribbean departures — the majority of sailings start there. Miami is about half an hour away and often worth checking alongside Fort Lauderdale, as dates and prices can differ between the two Florida ports. San Juan, Puerto Rico is a significant departure point in its own right, particularly for Eastern Caribbean itineraries. Port Canaveral in Florida is another option, convenient if you’re combining the cruise with time elsewhere in the state. Barbados rounds out the main embarkation ports, serving as the gateway to Southern Caribbean routes — ideal if you want to fly directly into the tropics and step straight on board.
All of these ports require a transatlantic flight from the UK, and our team can book your flights, hotel the night before, transfers and any pre- or post-cruise tours as part of a single Cruise1st Package. We can also look at cruises from Southampton to New York if you’d prefer a no-fly start to a wider American holiday. For those considering a different line on the same routes, Royal Caribbean fly-cruises to the Caribbean are also available through Cruise1st.
Cruise1st is one of the UK’s leading cruise specialists — meaning our team knows the Princess fleet in genuine depth, not just the brochure headlines. When you call, you speak to real cruise experts who can talk you through the difference between an aft balcony and a mid-ship suite, which ships are best placed on which routes, and what each fare tier actually includes for your travel dates.
We’re also ABTA and ATOL protected, and rated 4.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot from over 7,000 reviews. Every booking we make is a cruise or a cruise-inclusive holiday — it’s all we do. That focus means we can build flights, hotels, tours, transfers and insurance around your cruise as one package, so you arrive at the port with everything sorted. Browse all cruise holidays or explore what Princess Cruises has on offer across the full fleet.
Thinking about another line for a Caribbean comparison? Queen Mary 2 transatlantic sailings from Southampton pair well with a Caribbean cruise for a longer American trip, and our team can combine both into one itinerary.
*Prices are per person based on 2 people sharing, and are subject to change. This price is not kept up to date and therefore does not reflect live pricing and availability. Prices and any discounts shown were checked on 14 October 2026.
Where a discount is shown, it is a reduction from the price previously listed for that cabin grade on that sailing, not a comparison between cabin grades or against a brochure rate.
