Princess Cruises’ 2028 fly-cruise programme takes you to some of the world’s most compelling destinations — Japan leads the way, followed by the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, transatlantic crossings, Southeast Asia and Australia, among others. Most sailings fly you to your embarkation port and back, so the cruise really is the whole focus of the trip. Durations range from short breaks to extended voyages, with a median around 17 nights — long enough to explore a region properly.

Where Will Princess Cruises Take You in 2028?

The Princess Cruises 2028 fly-cruise programme is built around a handful of regions that the line does particularly well. Japan dominates the programme, accounting for more sailings than anywhere else. After that come the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, transatlantic routes, Southeast Asia and Australia. You can also find sailings into Central America, the West Coast of the USA and the broader Australia and New Zealand region. The mix of round-trip and one-way itineraries means there’s a shape to suit most travellers — whether you want to return to the same port or work your way across an ocean.

Japan — The Heart of the 2028 Programme

No other region comes close in the Princess Cruises 2028 fly-cruise programme. Japan sailings are where the line concentrates its effort, with Tokyo the most common embarkation and disembarkation port. These itineraries are ideally suited to travellers who want to combine a long-haul flight with a cruise that does the heavy lifting of getting between destinations — no hauling luggage between hotels each night. Princess has particular depth here, with ships optimised for Japanese ports and cuisine to match. Cruise1st can arrange your flights to Tokyo and any nights in the city either side, all on one booking.

Browse the full range of Princess Japan and Southeast Asia sailings for 2027–2028 if you want to compare itineraries across both years, or see all Japan cruises in 2028 to weigh up other lines sailing the same waters.

Mediterranean Sailings in 2028

The Mediterranean in 2028 is well served by Princess, with sailings embarking from Rome (Civitavecchia) and other key ports across the region. These tend to be round-trip sailings that let you base yourself in one port city and explore from there, or one-way itineraries that move through the sea at a satisfying pace. If you’re comparing options, the broader Mediterranean 2028 fly-cruise page covers other lines sailing the same sea.

Alaska, the Caribbean and Beyond

The Caribbean is Princess Cruises’ other major 2028 fly-cruise region. Most Caribbean sailings depart from Florida — with Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) the most common base. It’s worth noting that Miami is about half an hour from Fort Lauderdale, so a Florida trip can realistically sail from either — worth checking both when you’re searching. Cruise1st can book your transatlantic flight and any nights in Florida before or after the cruise as part of the same package.

Beyond the Caribbean, Princess also sails transatlantic crossings in 2028, as well as routes touching Central America, the West Coast USA via Los Angeles, and Australia and New Zealand departing from Vancouver and Sydney. One-way itineraries are common on these longer routes, so factor in a flight home from wherever the sailing ends — we’ll book that too.

If Australia particularly appeals, the Australia and New Zealand 2028 cruises page has more options across lines. For the Caribbean specifically, Caribbean sailings with New York stays or Caribbean fly-cruises in 2027 are worth a look if your dates are flexible.

Which Ships Sail in 2028?

Princess Cruises deploys a number of ships across its 2028 programme. Here is what each of the main vessels on these itineraries actually offers on board.

Sun Princess — Launched February 2024

Sun Princess is the inaugural ship of Princess’s all-new Sphere class, and the first in the fleet built to run on LNG as well as conventional fuel. It is genuinely different from what the Princess fleet looked like before: 29 dining and bar options — more than any other Princess ship — including a three-storey Horizons Dining Room and a Piazza atrium with open ocean views. The centrepiece is The Dome, a multi-level glass-enclosed deck inspired by Santorini terraces, with an indoor/outdoor pool that shifts into an evening entertainment venue after dark. If you want to see what Princess cabins look like on this ship, the Sun Princess cabins and deck plans are worth a look before you book.

Diamond Princess

Diamond Princess is purpose-built for Asian itineraries and it shows. The Izumi Japanese Bath is the largest Japanese-style onsen bath at sea — a genuinely standout wellness feature that suits the Japan-focused itineraries this ship runs. Dining options include Crown Grill steakhouse, Kai Sushi and Makoto Ocean by Chef Makoto Okuwa, the latter a real draw for guests who want to eat well across a longer Japan sailing. MedallionClass technology with OceanNow delivery means you can order food and drinks anywhere on the ship through the Princess app. See the Diamond Princess cabins and deck plans for a full picture of what’s available.

Sapphire Princess

Sapphire Princess is a 2,670-guest Gem-class ship, refreshed in a 2025 refurbishment, and it carries one of the highest balcony ratios in the Princess fleet — over 700 balcony staterooms. Crown Grill steakhouse and the new Makoto Ocean by Chef Makoto Okuwa bring premium dining on board, and MedallionClass technology with OceanNow delivery keeps things convenient throughout the sailing. The Sapphire Princess cabins and deck plans show the full range of stateroom grades.

Regal Princess

Regal Princess is a Royal-class ship built for 4,250 guests across 19 decks. The multi-level atrium sits at the heart of the ship, with the Princess Theater and Vista Lounge for evening entertainment. Dining covers every appetite: Salty Dog Gastropub, Crown Grill steakhouse and an International Café open around the clock. The Sanctuary adults-only retreat gives those who want a quieter space somewhere to go. Full cabin detail is on the Regal Princess cabins and deck plans page.

Coral Princess

Coral Princess has a slim 91,627-GT beam — narrow enough to reach ports and waterways that the larger ships in the fleet cannot access. That is a practical advantage on certain itineraries, not just a number. The Universe Lounge features three revolving stages used for cabaret, cooking demonstrations, fashion shows and lectures. Crown Grill steakhouse and Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria cover premium dining, and The Sanctuary adults-only retreat is on deck. See the Coral Princess cabins and deck plans for stateroom options.

Sky Princess

81% of Sky Princess cabins have a private balcony — one of the highest ratios in the fleet, which matters on a two-week sailing when you want outdoor space of your own. The Sanctuary adults-only retreat has private cabanas, spa treatments and light meals. Dining choices include Crown Grill, Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria, Chef’s Table Lumiere with a galley tour, and Movies Under the Stars for evenings on deck. The Sky Princess cabins and deck plans cover grades and sizes.

Further ships in the 2028 programme include Emerald Princess, Caribbean Princess, Royal Princess and Grand Princess.

What Cabin Grade Is Right for You?

Princess Cruises offers four broad cabin types on its 2028 fly-cruise sailings. The grades below are drawn from Diamond Princess, Sapphire Princess and Sun Princess — ships with the most sailings in the programme — so you can see the range across comparable vessels.

Diamond Princess and Sapphire Princess

  • Inside cabin IA (15.6 m²) — A middle-deck position with central lift access keeps movement minimal and noise low. The right choice if the cabin is mainly for sleeping and you’d rather spend the money elsewhere.
  • Premium Ocean-view / Sea-view cabin O5 (18.3 m²) — A panoramic window brings in natural daylight and a wide sea view. On Diamond Princess this is a forward-facing bow position; on Sapphire Princess it gives an unobstructed forward view that inside cabins don’t have.
  • Balcony cabin B2 (25.7 m²) — Your own outdoor space with seating, direct sea air and a view that no interior or ocean-view cabin can offer. On a 17-night sailing, that balcony earns its place.
  • Grand Suite S1 (123.5 m²) — The largest suite aboard either ship, with a separate living room and dining area — roughly twice the space of the Penthouse suite. Sleeps up to 4.

Explore the full options on the Diamond Princess cabins and deck plans or Sapphire Princess cabins and deck plans pages.

Sun Princess

  • Inside cabin IA (13.5 m²) — Compact and full-featured, ideal if the cabin is mainly for sleeping on a port-intensive itinerary.
  • Premium Sea-view cabin O2 (19.7 m²) — A spacious panoramic window with an unobstructed sea view and natural daylight throughout the day.
  • Deluxe Balcony cabin DF, spacious (27.4 m²) — A larger-than-standard balcony cabin giving you outdoor space for breakfast or evening drinks at sea.
  • Sky Suite S0 (117.2 m²) — Two full bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a bathtub and separate shower. Genuinely suite-scale space. Sleeps up to 4.

The Sun Princess cabins and deck plans give the full breakdown.

What Do Princess Cruises Fares Include?

Princess Cruises offers 2028 sailings across several fare tiers, so it’s worth knowing what each one covers before you book.

Princess Standard is the base cruise fare — it covers the sailing itself. The Princess Plus and Princess Premier packages are available to add on rather than included, so you choose what you actually want rather than paying for things you won’t use.

Princess Plus is included in certain fare types and adds meaningful value for most guests: 4 casual dining meals per voyage, beverages up to $15 each (with a daily limit of 15 drinks), MedallionNet Max Wi-Fi, pre-paid crew appreciation, unlimited digital photographs plus 3 prints, and reserved theatre seating. If you drink, eat out occasionally on board and want to stay connected, Plus typically covers more than it costs as an add-on.

Cruise1st’s team can walk you through the fare tiers on the specific sailing you’re looking at and help you decide which inclusions are worth having for the trip you’re planning — that’s the kind of advice a specialist gives that a cruise line’s own booking site doesn’t.

Are There Any Discounts on 2028 Sailings?

A number of 2028 Princess fly-cruise sailings carry reduced fares. Discounts go up to 33% on one departure, measured against the price previously listed for that cabin grade on that sailing — though that maximum applies to a single sailing. Most reduced sailings are discounted by around 4%, so the headline figure and the typical saving are quite different. It’s worth checking individual sailings rather than assuming everything is heavily reduced.

Fare types such as last-minute offers and early-booking promotions appear across the programme. Cruise1st can tell you which sailings currently carry a reduced fare and whether the saving is meaningful for the cabin grade you want.

How Do I Book a Princess Fly-Cruise for 2028?

Booking a Princess fly-cruise with Cruise1st means the whole trip goes on one booking. We arrange the cruise fare, flights to and from your embarkation port, any hotels you need the night before or after, transfers between airport and port, and travel insurance — all through us, without you having to piece it together separately.

For Japan sailings departing from Tokyo, we’ll arrange your UK flights and any pre-cruise nights in the city. For Caribbean sailings from Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) or Los Angeles, the same applies. If you’re on a one-way itinerary ending in a different port — Sydney, Buenos Aires or elsewhere — we sort the flight home too. That’s what a Cruise1st Package does: cruise plus everything around it, priced and booked together.

Prices on 2028 Princess fly-cruise sailings start from £1,256 pp*. Call our experts or search online to find the sailing that suits you — either way, we’ll help you get the cabin grade and the fare inclusions right before you commit.

Cruise1st is ABTA and ATOL protected, and rated 4.5/5 on Trustpilot from over 7,000 reviews.

Other 2028 Cruises Worth Considering

If you’re open to other lines for 2028, Cruise1st has a wide range of options. All Princess Cruises 2028 sailings — not just fly-cruises — are searchable if you want to include no-fly departures in the mix. The broader 2028 cruise programme across all lines gives the widest view of what’s available that year.

For specific regions, Mediterranean 2028 fly-cruises show what’s on across all lines sailing that sea, while Southeast Asia 2028 cruises cover Princess and other lines heading that way. Transatlantic 2028 cruises with P&O Cruises are worth a look if you want a no-fly Atlantic crossing from a UK port instead.

Other lines with strong 2028 fly-cruise programmes include Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line and Azamara. If you’d like to explore Princess alongside other carriers, our fly-cruises hub and the full cruises search are the quickest ways to compare.

Planning around Christmas? See 2028 Christmas cruises for festive sailings across all lines. And if you’re based in the north of England, 2028 cruises from Liverpool covers departures that save you the drive south.

*Prices are per person based on 2 people sharing, and are subject to change. This price is not kept up to date and therefore does not reflect live pricing and availability. Prices and any discounts shown were checked on 14 October 2026.

Where a discount is shown, it is a reduction from the price previously listed for that cabin grade on that sailing, not a comparison between cabin grades or against a brochure rate. Discounts and prices shown are not kept up to date: the reduction available now may be smaller, or may have ended, and prices may have changed.
