Princess Cruises sails to some of the most varied destinations in the world — the sun-drenched Mediterranean, the wilderness of Alaska, the islands of Southeast Asia and the cities of Japan. Sailings range from 9 nights to 118 nights, with a median voyage of 16 nights, so there is something for a two-week holiday and for a longer journey in equal measure. Around half the sailings are round trips, while the rest are one-way — if you are booking a one-way cruise, you will need a flight home, and we can arrange that alongside hotels and transfers as part of a single booking.
The majority of Princess Cruises departures leave from overseas ports, which makes this a natural fly-cruise proposition. The main embarkation ports are Singapore and Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida, followed by Piraeus (Athens), Vancouver, British Columbia, Rome (Civitavecchia) and San Francisco, California. A small number of sailings depart from Southampton, Liverpool or Dover, where you can board by road or rail with no flight needed.
Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) and Miami are around half an hour apart, so if you are flying into Florida for a Caribbean sailing, it is worth checking both ports — either can work as a starting point for your cruise.
Because the vast majority of sailings begin abroad, we build the whole journey for you: flights from your nearest UK airport, a hotel the night before you board, transfers between airport and port, and your cruise — all confirmed in one place. You can find the full scope of what we can arrange under our Cruise1st Packages.
The Mediterranean leads the way, with sailings across the western and eastern basin calling at ports in Southern Europe and beyond. The Caribbean is the second most popular region, with most of those voyages departing from Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) — worth pairing with a Florida stay either side. Transatlantic crossings run between Europe and the Americas, making them a practical way to reposition between continents rather than fly. Alaska sailings typically board at Vancouver — our cruises from Vancouver to Alaska page covers this route in more detail.
Southeast Asia and Japan are where Princess has a particularly strong reputation, with ships purpose-fitted for the region and itineraries that end in Tokyo or depart from Singapore. If that part of the world appeals, our Princess Japan and Southeast Asia sailings page goes deeper into what is on offer. A smaller number of voyages also head to Polynesia, the East Asia coast and the Los Angeles-anchored West Coast USA region.
If you are drawn to the Mediterranean specifically, our Mediterranean cruises with Princess Cruises page and the broader Mediterranean 2027 sailings guide both cover the range of itineraries available. For the Caribbean, the Caribbean 2027 cruises with New York stays page is worth a look if you want to combine a cruise with time in the city.
Yes — discounted sailings appear regularly across the Princess programme. Some departures are reduced by up to 49% from the price previously listed for that cabin grade, though that level of saving applies to a single departure; most reduced sailings are discounted by around 8%. Fare types such as early-saver offers, last-minute deals and promotional fares come and go throughout the year, so it is worth speaking to our team if you have a degree of flexibility on destination or departure date. Our experts can tell you what is currently on at a reduced price and match it to your travel window.
Several ships from the Princess fleet feature across these sailings. Here is what sets each one apart.
Launched in February 2024, Sun Princess is the newest ship in the Princess fleet and the first of the all-new Sphere class. The stand-out space on board is The Dome: a multi-level, glass-enclosed deck inspired by Santorini terraces, with an indoor/outdoor pool that converts into a South Beach-style evening entertainment venue. Across the ship there are 29 dining and bar options — the most on any Princess ship — including the three-storey Horizons Dining Room and the Piazza atrium overlooking the ocean.
Sun Princess is able to run on LNG as well as conventional fuel, making it one of the most capable ships in the fleet from an environmental standpoint. Cabin grades on Sun Princess run from:
Full cabin layouts and deck plans are on the Sun Princess cabins and deck plans page.
Entering service in 2025, Star Princess is the second Sphere-class ship and the newest addition to the Princess fleet. It carries more than 1,500 balcony cabins — the highest count in the Princess fleet — and over 29 dining, bar and lounge options. Star Princess is able to run on LNG as well as conventional fuel. Cabin grades available include:

Diamond Princess is a natural fit for Japan and East Asia itineraries. On board, the Izumi Japanese Bath is the largest Japanese-style onsen at sea — a genuinely distinctive experience that no other ship in the fleet matches. Dining leans into the region too, with Crown Grill steakhouse, Kai Sushi and Makoto Ocean by Chef Makoto Okuwa among the highlights. MedallionClass technology with OceanNow delivery means you can order food and drinks to any point on the ship via the Princess app, and Movies Under the Stars and Skywalkers Nightclub round out the evenings.

Refreshed in a 2025 refurbishment, Sapphire Princess carries over 700 balcony staterooms — one of the highest balcony ratios in the Princess fleet — across 2,670 guests. Crown Grill steakhouse and the new Makoto Ocean by Chef Makoto Okuwa deliver premium dining, while MedallionClass technology with OceanNow delivery lets you order to any spot on the ship. Deck plans and cabin grades are on the Sapphire Princess cabins and deck plans page.
Refurbished in 2023, Ruby Princess has nearly 900 balcony staterooms — one of the best balcony ratios in the fleet. Movies Under the Stars on deck come with complimentary popcorn and blankets, and the Princess Theatre hosts Broadway-style productions nightly. For dining, Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria, Sterling Steakhouse and 12 further venues run alongside flexible Anytime Dining and a 24-hour Horizon Court. Full cabin information is on the Ruby Princess cabins and deck plans page.
At 91,627 GT, Coral Princess has a slimmer beam than many larger ships, which allows it to reach narrow waterways and smaller island ports that bigger vessels cannot access. The Universe Lounge features 3 revolving stages and hosts cabaret, cooking demonstrations, fashion shows and port lectures. Crown Grill steakhouse, Sabatini’s Italian Trattoria and The Sanctuary adults-only retreat on deck complete the picture. Cabin and deck information is on the Coral Princess cabins and deck plans page.
You can also find Majestic Princess, Sky Princess, Enchanted Princess and Emerald Princess across the Princess programme — each with their own cabin layouts and deck plans available to browse before you book.
As one of the UK’s leading cruise specialists, Cruise1st works with Princess Cruises across the full range of sailings — not just a handful of headline departures. That means our team knows the fleet well enough to point you towards the right ship and cabin grade for your trip, whether you are weighing up an inside cabin on Sun Princess against a balcony on Diamond Princess, or deciding between a 9-night Mediterranean voyage and a longer Southeast Asia itinerary.
Expert advice is available on the phone before you commit to anything. Once you know what you want, we can put the whole holiday together: flights from your nearest UK airport, hotels at either end, transfers, tours and insurance — all on one booking rather than a patchwork of separate reservations. That is what a Cruise1st Package covers, and it is particularly useful for longer or more complex itineraries where the logistics of getting to and from an overseas port need coordinating.
Prices start from £1,199 pp* for Princess Cruises sailings, and we can help you identify where the reductions are and which fare type gives you the best value for the way you travel. Cruise1st is ABTA and ATOL protected, and rated 4.5/5 on Trustpilot from over 7,000 reviews.
With sailings departing from Singapore into Southeast Asia, from Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) into the Caribbean, from Piraeus into the Mediterranean and from Vancouver into Alaska, the shape of the Princess programme is genuinely global. A few areas worth highlighting:
If you are looking at Princess Cruises 2027 sailings broadly, or want to focus specifically on Princess cruises from Southampton, those pages narrow the search further. Southampton and Liverpool departures are available for the small number of UK-origin sailings — reaching either port by road or rail means no flight is needed at all. For the 2027 season specifically, our Princess Cruises 2027 from Southampton page lists what is scheduled.
We are cruise specialists — every offer here is a cruise or a cruise-inclusive package. Our team can build flights, hotels, tours, transfers and insurance around your cruise, as a bundle or a fully custom holiday. Most readers booking a Princess cruise are flying to an overseas departure port, and pulling all of that together in one place — with one point of contact if anything changes — is where booking with a specialist makes a real difference to the experience.
If you are thinking about other fare types or value options alongside a Princess deal, our cheap cruises and short cruises from Southampton pages cover those angles, and our broader fly-cruises section shows the full range of fly-cruise options across all lines. You can also browse cruises from Southampton if a no-fly departure is the priority, or explore our full cruise deals listings for something beyond the Princess programme. For festive sailing options, Christmas cruise deals and Liverpool cruise deals are worth a look too.
*Prices are per person based on 2 people sharing, and are subject to change. This price is not kept up to date and therefore does not reflect live pricing and availability. Prices and any discounts shown were checked on 14 October 2026.
Where a discount is shown, it is a reduction from the price previously listed for that cabin grade on that sailing, not a comparison between cabin grades or against a brochure rate. Discounts and prices shown are not kept up to date: the reduction available now may be smaller, or may have ended, and prices may have changed.
