● Disembark Azamara Onward in Cape Town, South Africa to begin your 9 Night Tour. You will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel via Table Mountain. Take the cable car to the top to enjoy the incredible panoramic views (weather dependant). Afterwards continue onto your Cape Town hotel for check in.

‣ Day 22: Cape Town → Johannesburg

● After Breakfast Transfer to Cape Town Airport for your flight to Johannesburg, followed by a transfer to Ivory Manor Boutique Hotel for 1 night stay in Johannesburg.

‣ Day 23: Johannesburg | Rovos Rail

● After Breakfast enjoy a tour of Johannesburg/Pretoria then transfer to Rovos Rail train station in Pretoria to board the luxurious Rovos Rail for a 4-night journey in a Deluxe Suite on an all-inclusive basis.

● Departure time approx 18.00

● Travel through Warmbaths (Bela-Bela) – so named for its mineral waters– and Nylstroom (Modimolle), christened by the Voortrekkers as the source of the Nile River as the town’s river happened to be north flowing. Pass the edge of the escarpment where the Highveld drops precipitously.
Dinner is served in the dining cars en route to Polokwane.

‣ Day 24: Rovos Rail

● Breakfast is served in the dining cars. The train crosses the Tropic of Capricorn en route to Louis Trichardt. Lunch is served in the dining cars. Border formalities with South Africa. Tea in the lounge and observation cars. The train crosses the Limpopo River en route to Beitbridge for border formalities with Zimbabwe. In Rudyard Kipling’s Just So Stories, the ‘Elephant’s Child’ departs his family for the “great grey-green, greasy Limpopo River, all set about with fever-trees, to find out what the Crocodile has for dinner.”

● Dinner is served in the dining cars en route to Gwanda.

‣ Day 25: Rovos Rail

● Breakfast is served in the dining cars until 09:00.

● The train travels baobab country and ascends to Bulawayo: second city of Zimbabwe, capital of Matabeleland and industrial capital of the country. Lunch is served in the dining cars. Transfer (±45 min) to Matobo National Park to see bushmen caves, rock art and the grave of Cecil John Rhodes. Depart for Sawmills. Dinner is served in the dining cars.

‣ Day 26: Rovos Rail

● Breakfast is served in the dining cars until 10:00.

● The train travels between Gwaai and Dete along one of the world’s longest stretches of straight railway line – 114 kilometres – and along the eastern edge of Hwange Park.
Lunch is served in the dining cars.
Enjoy a game drive in Hwange National Park, the nation’s largest wildlife area at 1 462 000ha.
Dinner is served in the dining cars en route to Thompsons Junction.

‣ Day 27: Rovos Rail | Victoria Falls

● After breakfast disembark in Victoria Falls. Transfer to your hotel for a 3 Night stay at The Palm River Hotel – Deluxe Room

‣ Day 28: Victoria Falls

● No surprise why Victoria Falls is one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World. You'll understand it instantly as we tour the Zimbabwean side, for there are numerous spectacular vantage points along the width of the Falls, and the sight of this astounding gift of nature, simply takes your breath away. Walk through the permanent, beautifully misty rain forest which flanks the Falls, stopping to marvel at the principal sites as it cascades to the depths below the Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Rainbow Falls, the Boiling Pot, Cataract Island and Livingstone Island. We'll stand and watch, feel and listen to the spray and thunderous noise, as millions of litres of water tumble over the Falls into a series of narrow gorges below. The seventh Natural Wonder of the World puts on the most dramatic show for you, and you'll be privileged to have watched it.

‣ Day 29: Ra-Ikane Sunset Cruise

● The Ra-Ikane is a small luxury cruise boat that is outfitted to suggest, in exquisite detail, the ambiance of a bygone era, paying tribute to Ra-Ikane, one of the guides who first led David Livingstone to the Victoria Falls. Period decor, historic memorabilia, fine cuisine and refreshments characterize a level of comfort and grace unsurpassed on the Zambezi. High tea, snacks, imported drinks and wine are served on the boat.

‣ Day 30: Singapore

● After Breakfast, Transfer to Victoria Falls Airport for your overnight flight back to the UK
