Port Louis is the capital of Mauritius and is located in the Indian Ocean. With a population of around 170 000, the city is the largest as well as the cultural and economic center of the country. There are many attractions that you will be able to discover on a trip to the city. Visit the Meenakshi Hindu temple or the UNESCO World Heritage Immigration Depot, the remains of which used to be a camp for Indian laborers in the 19th century and should be on top of your to-visit list.

Located off the east coast of Madagascar, this island is known by two names - "Sainte Marie" and, more colloquially "Nosy Boraha". The island has a population of over 15 000 and for a beautiful scenery, you should take adventage the hotspot for humpback whales - the channel located between the island and the coast of Madagascar.

Antsiranana, also known as Diego Suarez, from the name of the Portuguese navigator who visited the bay in 1543, is situated to the extreme north of Madagascar. Its name was changed to Antsiranana in 1975, but many still call it Diego. It has one of the world's most beautiful natural deep-water harbours and is loved by tourists despite its remote location.
