The emirate of Dubai is home to around 1.8 million inhabitants. The majority of the population lives in the city. Dubai is known for its modern and futuristic projects. The Omani city of Salalah is situated on the Arabian Sea and is an excellent starting point for numerous excursions. Worth seeing are the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the ancient frankincense port of Al-Baleed and the grave of the Prophet Nabi Amran.

Jeddah is located south of the Red Sea and forms the gateway to Mecca. A city tour is undoubtedly advisable.
