Port Mahon is on the Balearic island of Menorca. The sister island of Majorca offers a particularly beautiful natural landscape. There are still many undeveloped beaches, small coves and great fauna and flora. In Mahon are also many historical buildings, museums and shops.

Port Vendres lies in the French region of Languedoc-Roussillon, on the Mediterranean coast close to the border of Spain. Especially nice is the port area and fishing is one of the town's main industries. Stroll along the harbor to the little lighthouse. Also of interest to anglers and fish lovers is the fish market. If you continue to delve into the town, you will find the beautiful church of Notre-Dame de Bonne Nouvelle.

Sète is known for its culinary delights on offer, espcially with its many fish restaurants and Mediterranean specialities. Here an experience worth having is to go through the canals on a rented houseboat leading to Toulouse or in the direction of Rhone.

Sanary is a small French town which lies directly on the Mediterranean coast. During the Second World War the town was an important place for exiles. Some of the emigrants include the poet Bertold Brecht, Austrian biographer Stefan Zweig and German novelist Thomas Mann. The Notre-Dame de Pitié chapel is a sight worth seeing which offers some other benefits - its location. It was built in 1560 on top of a hill from which you can enjoy a wonderous view over the Sanary bay.
