Where Do MSC Caribbean Cruises Go in 2028?

MSC Cruises runs one of the broadest Caribbean programmes sailing in 2028, covering everything from short island-hopper breaks of 3 nights to grand voyages of over 100 nights. The bulk of the programme focuses on the Caribbean, with a strong concentration on the Southern Caribbean islands — think Martinique, Guadeloupe and Barbados as natural starting or finishing points. Beyond that, a selection of sailings ventures into Central America, and a small number of longer itineraries continue into full world cruise territory, calling at ports across multiple continents. There are also transatlantic crossings within the programme, typically repositioning the fleet between seasons, and a handful of sailings take in the Western Caribbean.

The median sailing length is 11 nights — long enough to experience several islands in depth without rushing — though the range is genuinely wide. If you want a shorter taster, shorter sailings are there; if you’re after something more ambitious, longer itineraries are available too. Around 101 of the sailings are round trips, so you return to the same port you left from. The remaining 16 are one-way itineraries, which means you’ll need a flight home from your disembarkation port — something our team can arrange as part of your package, along with any hotel nights either side.

Which Ports Do These Sailings Use?

The most popular embarkation point is Miami, which handles more MSC Caribbean departures than any other port in 2028. It’s a well-connected hub with a strong range of flight options from the UK, and our team can add flights, pre-cruise hotel nights in Miami and airport transfers to your booking. Worth knowing: Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades) is roughly half an hour from Miami — if the dates or prices suit you better from there, it’s well worth checking both.

Port Canaveral, Florida is the second-busiest departure point, giving easy access to the Orlando area if you want to build in a theme-park stay before or after your cruise. Further into the Caribbean itself, sailings also depart from Fort de France, Martinique and Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe — both French overseas territories with their own distinct character — as well as from La Romana in the Dominican Republic and Bridgetown, Barbados.

On the disembarkation side, Miami again takes the largest share, followed by Port Canaveral, Fort de France, La Romana, Pointe-à-Pitre and Barbados. If your sailing ends somewhere other than where it began, just let us know — we’ll sort the return flight and any overnight accommodation you need.

How Long Are the Sailings?

Durations in the 2028 MSC Caribbean programme range from 3 nights at the shorter end to 116 nights at the very longest. The median is 11 nights, which gives you a good feel for where most of the programme sits — roughly one to two weeks of island-hopping. Shorter sailings of around 3 to 7 nights suit those who want a focused taste of the Caribbean without a long time away; longer sailings of two weeks or more tend to cover more ground and offer better value per night. The very longest sailings are full world cruise itineraries that begin or pass through the Caribbean and continue to ports across three or more continents.

Which Ships Sail the MSC Caribbean in 2028?

MSC deploys several ships across this programme, ranging from the enormous new World-class vessels to the more intimate, port-friendly ships in the classic fleet. Here’s what’s sailing:

MSC World Asia — New for 2028

MSC World Asia launched in December 2026, making it one of the newest ships afloat when it sails the Caribbean in 2028. At 215,863 GT it ranks among the largest cruise ships ever built, and the design has an Asian-inspired character you won’t find on any other ship in the fleet — most strikingly a 12-metre floating dragon sculpture that runs along the World Promenade. If you’re travelling with children, the outdoor Harbour theme park is a serious draw: there’s the Cliffhanger swing 50 metres above the ocean, free-fall waterslides, and 7 pools across the ship. An 81-metre spiral slide drops across 12 decks. It’s a ship that keeps the whole family occupied at sea.

Cabin choices on MSC World Asia cover every style of travel. Here’s a summary, from the most affordable to the most spacious:

  • Deluxe Inside Cabin Fantastica — 15 m², sleeps 4. That’s 50% more floor space than a standard inside cabin, so it genuinely feels less cramped on a longer voyage.
  • Infinite Ocean View Fantastica — 20 m², sleeps 4. A window brings in natural light and sea views, and at 20 m² it’s twice the size of a standard ocean-view cabin.
  • Balcony Aurea — 17 m² with a private balcony, sleeps 4. The balcony gives direct access to fresh air and views that inside and ocean-view guests don’t have.
  • Grand Suite Aurea — 35 m², sleeps 4. A separate seating area and 40% more space than standard suites, ideal for a longer stay or a special trip.
  • MSC Yacht Club Owner’s Suite — 104 m², sleeps 4. The largest suite on the ship — almost twice the size of other Yacht Club suites — with the full Yacht Club butler service.

You can explore all cabin grades and deck layouts on the MSC World Asia cabins and deck plans page.

MSC Seashore

MSC Seashore was purpose-built with the Caribbean in mind, and it shows. The ship carries 13,000 m² of outdoor space — more than almost anything else at sea — including glass-floored walkways 22 metres above the waterline and glass-bottomed promenades running along both sides of the ship. On a clear day at sea, the effect is quite something. The Pirates Cove Aquapark connects to the Long Island Pool on Deck 18, and there’s a zip line and an MSC Formula Racer simulator for those who want more action. A Times Square-themed area runs through the ship, complete with an 8.5-metre LED wall and a Danza del Mare Venini glass sculpture that rises four decks through the atrium.

Cabin options on MSC Seashore include:

  • Premium Inside Cabin Fantastica — 28 m², sleeps 5. Twice as spacious as the standard inside options, and with room for a family of five.
  • Ocean-view Cabin Bella — 17 m², sleeps 4. A window with a sea view, and a solid entry point into the outside-cabin range.
  • Two-Bedroom Grand Suite Aurea — 49 m², sleeps 6. Two complete bedrooms make this the only multi-room suite on board — well suited to families or groups who want separate sleeping areas.
  • Super Family Cabin Plus — 51 m², sleeps 10. An enormous amount of space with separate sleeping and living areas, built for larger families.
  • MSC Yacht Club Owner’s Suite — 98 m², sleeps 4. Separate bedroom, living room and dining room — the most private space on the ship.

See the full range of grades on the MSC Seashore cabins and deck plans page.

MSC Opera

At 65,591 GT, MSC Opera is considerably more compact than the World-class ships, and that compact size is a genuine advantage in the Caribbean. Smaller harbours and quieter ports that the larger vessels simply cannot reach are within her range, so the itineraries tend to feel different — a bit more tucked-away, a bit less port-queue. On board, the Teatro dell’Opera hosts nightly shows, and the Cotton Club Jazz Bar is one of the better late-evening venues in the fleet for anyone who enjoys live music. Families are well catered for too: 5 dedicated children’s clubs cover every age group from babies upwards, with LEGO areas and VR experiences among the activities.

Cabin grades on MSC Opera:

  • Bella Inside Guarantee Cabin SPL — 14 m², sleeps 4. Your cabin number is assigned before embarkation — a good entry point if you’re flexible on exact location.
  • Ocean-view Cabin Aurea O3 — 15 m², sleeps 2. At 15 m², this is 2 m² larger than the standard ocean-view Fantastica cabins.
  • Suite Aurea S3 — 27 m², sleeps 4. A balcony suite that’s 4 m² more spacious than the Deluxe Suite SR grade.
  • Super Family Cabin FLA — 32 m², sleeps 4. A private balcony and 32 m² make this a practical option for families on longer sailings.

Full deck-by-deck layouts are on the MSC Opera cabins and deck plans page.

MSC Poesia

MSC Poesia has character that sets it apart even within the MSC fleet. An atrium waterfall and a Zen garden give the public spaces a calm quality you don’t find on the newer, busier ships. From April 2026 the MSC Yacht Club on Poesia was newly expanded, delivering butler service, private dining and an exclusive sundeck to guests in that section. For dining, the Butcher’s Cut steakhouse and Kaito Sushi Bar offer something beyond the main buffet, and the Aurea Spa includes a salt grotto and a Kneipp therapy pool — worth knowing if relaxation is part of the plan.

Check the full range of cabin grades on the MSC Poesia cabins and deck plans page.

MSC Grandiosa

MSC Grandiosa is the flagship of the Meraviglia-Plus class, and the 93-metre Galleria Grandiosa LED promenade — the longest at sea — is the feature most guests mention first. Each evening it transforms into a live entertainment boulevard, which gives the ship a genuinely different atmosphere after dark. Eataly at sea brings one of Italy’s most recognisable food-market brands aboard, alongside a Jean-Philippe chocolaterie and 14 restaurants in total. For families, there are twin F1 simulators, an interactive 4D cinema and a dedicated MSC Kids Club across all age groups. Deck layouts and cabin grades are on the MSC Grandiosa cabins and deck plans page.

Other ships sailing in this programme include MSC World America, MSC World Atlantic, MSC Magnifica, MSC Seaside, MSC Seascape. Each brings its own cabin grades and itinerary options — our cruise experts can help you compare them if you’re unsure which suits you best.

Are There Any Price Reductions Available?

Discounts on MSC Caribbean sailings in 2028 are available on a sailing-by-sailing basis. Reductions of up to 11% are available on individual departures — measured against the price previously listed for that cabin grade on that sailing — with most reduced sailings sitting at around 10% off. It’s worth checking individual departures rather than assuming a blanket reduction across the programme, as the pricing varies by ship, cabin grade and date. Our team can tell you which sailings are currently reduced when you call. Prices for the 2028 programme start at £211 pp*.

How to Make It a Full Holiday

Every MSC Caribbean sailing in 2028 embarks overseas — in Florida, Martinique, Guadeloupe, the Dominican Republic or Barbados — so a flight from the UK is part of the trip for every passenger. That’s not a complication; it’s an opportunity to build a proper holiday around your cruise. As MSC Cruises specialists, our team can put together flights, hotel nights before or after the voyage, airport transfers and any tours you want to add, all as a single Cruise1st Package. If you’d like a couple of nights in Miami or Barbados before you board, or a few days exploring after you disembark, we’ll handle all of it on one booking.

We’re also rated 4.5/5 on Trustpilot from over 7,000 reviews, and every booking comes with ABTA and ATOL protection. If you’d rather talk it through before committing, our cruise experts are available by phone — no queues, no bots, just someone who knows the MSC fleet and can help you choose the right sailing.

If you’re thinking about all-inclusive fly Caribbean 2028 sailings specifically, that’s another option worth exploring — fare types and inclusions vary by ship and sailing, and our team can walk you through what each tier covers.

Explore More 2028 Sailings

If you’re still comparing options for 2028, there’s a wide range of other sailings worth looking at alongside the MSC Caribbean programme. Caribbean 2028 sailings from Southampton are worth checking if you’d prefer a no-fly departure from closer to home. Caribbean 2028 cruises with New York stays combine island time with time in the city — a popular combination for those who want more than a standard fly-cruise. For something a little different, Caribbean 2028 sailings aboard P&O Arvia offer a British-market alternative with its own character.

If the transatlantic element of some MSC itineraries appeals, transatlantic sailings in 2028 cover a broader range of lines and ships making the crossing, and P&O transatlantic 2028 sailings are worth comparing for a UK-departing option. Those considering a longer voyage will find a full selection on the world cruises 2028 page, including world cruises 2028 from Southampton and Cunard’s 2028 world cruise.

Browsing the broader Caribbean cruises 2028 page gives you a view across all cruise lines sailing the region that year, while the full cruises listing lets you filter from scratch if your plans are still taking shape. The MSC Caribbean cruises hub covers the full year-round programme if 2028 isn’t the only year on your radar.

For Caribbean inspiration from 2027, Caribbean 2027 sailings with New York stays are popular with readers planning ahead, and Caribbean fly-cruises in 2027 give a good sense of what’s available in the year before. You might also want to look at all 2028 sailings across every line and region, or compare Princess Cruises in 2028 and P&O Cruises in 2028 if MSC isn’t the only line you’re considering. Barbados departures in 2028 are worth a look if that’s your preferred embarkation port, and P&O Caribbean sailings in 2027 round out the picture for anyone comparing across years and lines.

*Prices are per person based on 2 people sharing, and are subject to change. This price is not kept up to date and therefore does not reflect live pricing and availability. Prices and any discounts shown were checked on 14 October 2026.

Where a discount is shown, it is a reduction from the price previously listed for that cabin grade on that sailing, not a comparison between cabin grades or against a brochure rate. Discounts and prices shown are not kept up to date: the reduction available now may be smaller, or may have ended, and prices may have changed.
