Santiago is one of those cities where the more you look, the more you find. Santiago hosts 40% of the country's population and has become a cultural centre with breathtaking natural beauty in the vicinity. Santiago lies in the center of the Santiago Basin, a valley surrounded by mountain ranges. The city has a varying elevation, towards the west it is 400m above sea level whereas at the Plaza Baquedano it comes to 540m.

The port city of Puerto Montt is situated between the Andes mountains and the Patagonian fjords. Its location offers both locals and visitors amazing panoramas of the surrounding wilderness, such as views of the active volcano Calbuco. Local seafood is served up in the city, and handicrafts can be purchased at the market right at the port. Just outside of city limits is the Caleta de Angelmó Market.

Situated near the southernmost point of the Patagonia region of Chile is Punta Arenas. The city sits on the banks of the Strait of Magellan, the most important natural passage connecting the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Punta Arenas attracts many nature lovers as the city acts as a springboard into the local wilderness and Antarctica. The city boasts a memorial to the Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan at Plaza Muñoz Gamero.

Ushuaia is located at the "End of the World", on the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, South America's southernmost point. Its location makes the resort town a major gateway to Antarctica. The town offers stunning natural views as it is enclosed by the Beagle Chanel and the Martial Mountains. Visitors can also partake in a tour to Isla Yecapasela, "Penguin Island", to observe the nearby penguin colonies.

Cape Horn is located on the headland of a Chilean rock island. The circumnavigation of the Cape was known as one of the most difficult river passages. The Atlantic and the Pacific meet here with their cold and warm water masses, meaning that a strong current is generated.

Named after the British politician Lord Stanley, Port Stanley became the capital of the Falkland Islands in July 1845. Situated on the biggest island, East Falkland, visiting cruise passengers can partake in various tours and excursions, including nature walks, trips to neighboring islands, and wildlife tours.
