Description

Launched in 2000, for over a decade Aurora has welcomed nearly 2,000 P&O customers at a time on board to experience the holiday of a lifetime. With family friendly cruises ranging from the sizzling Canary Islands to spectacular Scandinavian fjords, Aurora will always deliver a quality cruise.

Aurora – What to do

All of P&O’s fitness favourites feature on Aurora, with the Oasis Spa, well run gymnasium, on deck games and entertaining golf simulator all good options for the health or sports fanatic. Aurora’s three pools are well served by her Deck Bars, serving refreshing cold drinks throughout the day. For a hot cup of tea or coffee, Sidewalk Café is your best bet.

Guests looking to experience the arts are also well catered for, with Aurora boasting splendid photograph and art galleries. There is also the magnificent Curzon Theatre and its array of delightful productions, as well as the extensive selection of films on show at the Playhouse Theatre. In the evening, relax and unwind with a drink at Anderson’s Bar, keep up with the goings on in the world of sport at Champions Sports Bar or settle in for the entertaining cabaret evenings put on by Carmen’s show lounge.

Aurora – Where to eat

Aurora offers its customers one of the greatest selection of eateries of any of the P&O fleet. For breakfast, the Orangery lays on a fantastic self-service buffet, it is open early and guests can find a full English breakfast among the options available. The Orangery is also open for all the other meals of the day, again operating on a self-service basis.

Fans of the traditional cruise dining experience can expect an authentic feel to their meal in Aurora’s two main restaurants, the Alexandria, decorated with an Egyptian theme and the Medina, styled to reflect the P&O links with North Africa and the Middle East. Al fresco dining can be had under the stars on Aurora’s Lido Deck at the Pennant Grill, while arguably the most exciting part of Aurora’s culinary arsenal is found in the Gallic flair of the Café Bordeaux, a fine bistro created by renowned chef Marco Pierre White.

Of course, sometimes you just want to spend a quiet evening relaxing in your room. P&O cruise line understands this, and so you are able to call on their efficient and professional room service team twenty four hours a day should you require refreshments.

The Staterooms of Aurora

From Inside Stateroom to Penthouse Suite, P&O cruises ensure your stay is as comfortable as it is memorable with Aurora’s superb, spacious accommodation. All rooms are equipped with everything you would expect from such a high standard of holiday, including television, refrigerator, air conditioning, telephone and vast quantities of storage space for all your belongings, allowing you to settle in and really feel at home.

Inside Staterooms offer king-sized beds a comfortable sofa and en suite bathroom facilities featuring a separate bath and shower. Choose an Outside Stateroom and you will receive all of this, plus a window looking out over the ocean. Indulge in a spot of sunbathing with a Balcony Stateroom, where you can relax on your recliner out on your own private terrace, as well as enjoying a separate seating area in your indoor accommodation.

Upgrade to a Mini-Suite and you will notice some extra luxuries, such as a soft and cosy bathrobe and comfy slippers, a welcome pack featuring champagne, chocolates, flowers and a fruit basket and separate lounge and bedroom areas. Choosing a Suite will mean you get all this, along with the handy addition of a helpful butler service, while a Penthouse Suite takes the décor up a notch, with spiral staircases and balconies on both floors of your suite added a touch of splendour to your voyage.
