Uniworld S.S. Catherine
One of Uniworld’s Super Ships, the S.S. Catherine offers luxury, sophistication and meticulous attention to detail at every turn. Traversing the waterways of the beautiful River Rhône, this 159-passenger ship travels to Burgundy through Provence and easily matches the class and romance of the beautiful landscape it passes through. The ship, which was christened by and named after Catherine Deneuve, is elegant and whimsical in equal measure. It boasts a number of charming, unique touches, such as the specially commissioned Murano glass chandelier and a whimsical life-sized glass horse!
WHAT YOU WILL FIND ON BOARD
Bar du Leopard
There are many fantastic social spaces onboard S.S. Catherine, but the one that stands out the most is the ship’s distinctive Bar du Leopard. There are comfortable leopard print sofas and stylish leather armchairs in this spacious saloon, which is rich with textures and materials, and even a life-size bronze leopard head adorning the bar. The most surprising feature, however, is the glass-encased swimming pool. The low-slung bridges along the Rhône river make top-deck swimming pools difficult to achieve but the ship’s impressive nautical architecture makes it possible to take in the scenery as the ship sails past. Come here for a cocktail, have a dance or chill out during the day, this space is a multi-functional masterpiece.
A cruise onboard the S.S. Catherine truly offers something for everyone. Each cabin, from the most modest Category 5 single cabin to the impressive Royal Suite, offers flat screen TVs, generous built-in closets and sleek marble en-suite bathrooms complete with L’Occitane en Provence bath products that are perfect after a long day of exploring. Whichever option is right for you, you can be sure of an exceptionally comfortable stay.
